Middleton PTO Newsletter - Nov. 26, 2024

Message from the MPTO President

As we enter the holiday season, I hope you are enjoying preparing for Thanksgiving and the traditions this season brings for your family. One event that is becoming a holiday tradition in the Middleton school community is the Holiday Bazaar, and we hope you will make it a part of your family’s seasonal events.

The second annual Holiday Bazaar is intended to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of Middleton Elementary School students. The event provides a venue for students to showcase their business or sell products they have created, and it allows the community to witness the talent and hard work of the students! The event will be held on Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fuller Meadow, and the deadline for registration for our young entrepreneurs is Dec. 3. Click here to register for a table for the event. We hope you will join us! And on behalf of the Middleton PTO, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Be A Holiday H.E.R.O!

This holiday season, your child can be holiday H.E.R.O. (Help Everyone Respect Others) by donating their own money to Middleton Neighbors in Need. 100% of the proceeds collected will be donated to the Middleton Neighbors in Need program. Students can send in their own donations by Dec. 4 in the envelope that went home in backpacks, or in an envelope marked “Holiday H.E.R.O.”

School Community Restaurant Fundraisers

•    McDonald’s Fundraisers: The Middleton PTO is partnering with our local McDonald’s the first Monday of every month to kick off McMobile Mondays for Middleton! 20% of sales ordered through the McDonald’s mobile app will go directly to the Middleton PTO.

Additionally, we are partnering with McDonald’s on Friday, Dec. 6. A share of the proceeds after early release will be donated to the MPTO.

•    Aroma Joe’s Fundraiser: Stop in Aroma Joe’s on Dec. 17 from 2 pm to 4:30 pm to support Middleton Elementary Schools!

•    U.S. Taekwondo Center Parents Night Out Fundraiser: U.S. Taekwondo will be hosting a fun-filled night for kids with pizza, a bouncy house, a Taekwondo class, and a movie on Dec. 21 from 5 to 9 pm, all for $30! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Middleton PTO.

Howe-Manning Book Fair Volunteers Needed!

The Howe-Manning Book Fair will take place Dec. 9 – 16. If you would like to volunteer, click on this link. Volunteers are also needed for set up and disassembly on Dec. 6 and Dec. 16. All parents are allowed to join the Book Fair during their child’s assigned time. If you are volunteering, please try to volunteer for a class that is not your child’s. If this is not possible, please be aware that you will need to assist other students. Thank you for your help!

Help Stock the Teachers' Lounges!

Are you interested in supporting your child's teachers through making their lounges an enjoyable place to take a break? Please visit the lounge wish lists for Howe-Manning and Fuller Meadow to stock these areas with coffee pods, snacks, utensils, etc. We've created the grade-level schedule below to ensure the lounges are stocked all year long. When it's your child's class's turn (and if you are interested/able to), please purchase the requested items. Kindergarten and 3rd grade families--it's your turn this month!

If you have a preference on what school your order goes to, please include it as a gift message (please note, anything sent to Howe-Manning must be nut free as we have staff with severe allergies). If you order via the links, Mrs. Baker has graciously volunteered to sort and make sure everything is distributed to both schools. Thank you in advance to anyone that chooses to help. The teachers rave about how much they love having the lounges stocked with goodies!
