Message from the MPTO President

It's hard to believe the school year is almost over! This newsletter highlights some exciting end-of-year activities and events, including Field Days, the T-Shirt Design Contest, and the Ice Cream Social. We hope you’ll join us! 

This time of year also brings transition for the Middleton PTO, and I couldn't be more excited to welcome our incoming Board members for the 2025-26 school year:

A heartfelt thank you to the outgoing board members: Koryn Alexander, Michaela Anderson, Jody Green, Beth Ortins, and Christina Way. They’ve generously donated their time and energy to our school community, and we are deeply grateful for their contributions. 

I'm thrilled to continue as MPTO president and look forward to working with you to enrich the educational experience of your children in the 2025-26 school year.

Annual MPTO T-Shirt Contest

Students—show off your creativity! The MPTO is calling ALL kindergarten to 5th grade students to submit their t-shirt design. The winning shirt from each elementary school will be printed on next year’s fun run t-shirts! Design submission templates have gone home and are also available on the MPTO homepage.  Submissions are due June 6!

Field Day!

Howe-Manning Field Day is coming up on June 9 (rain date: June 10) and Fuller Meadow Field Day will be held on June 13 (rain date: June 16). We’re looking for parent volunteers to help make this a fun and memorable day for the kids. The Howe-Manning volunteer sign-up can be accessed by clicking here and the Fuller Meadow sign-up is available here.

Students should plan to wear sneakers, bring a water bottle, and put on sunscreen on at home. Parents are invited to watch during their child's timeslot below.

Grade 3: 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Grade 5: 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Grade 6: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Fuller Meadow, June 13

MPTO Ice Cream Social

Join us for our End-of-Year Ice Cream Social on June 16th from 6:30-8:00 PM at Howe Manning behind the school! Celebrate the start of summer with sweet treats, fun, and friends. No registration necessary. One ice cream or slush per person while supplies last. All supplies are generously donated by Richardsons!

Did We Hear Mooooos?!

Cow Mooing is returning this summer in Middleton! For just $20, you can have a herd of cows “graze” on someone’s lawn—just for fun! This udderly hilarious fundraiser supports the MPTO. Want to surprise a friend or your kids? Visit the MPTO website to learn more and nominate a family today!

Taekwondo Fundraiser

Sign up for Middleton U.S. Taekwondo anytime between June 15 and August 30, and 100% of the proceeds support the Middleton PTO. Four weeks of classes are only $30! Click here to register.

Coin Challenge Success!

We’re excited to share that we raised a total of $2,199.50 during the Coin Challenge—thank you to all the students, families, and staff who participated!

Recent Curriculum Enrichment Programs
  • All Fuller Meadow students were treated to StuntMasters BMX presentation on May 7.
  • Kindergartners experienced the Community Helper field trip on May 14.
  • 1st graders visited the Franklin Park Zoo on May 15.
  • 4th graders were treated to the Birds of Prey in-school program on May 16.
  • 4th graders visited the Massachusetts State House on May 21.
  • All Howe-Manning students experienced artist Rob Surette’s in-school program on May 23.
  • 4th graders participated in the “Touch Tanks” in-school program on May 29.
  • 4th graders visited the tidepools at the Seacoast Science Center on June 2.
Why Your Support Matters

Your support of the Middleton PTO helps fund curriculum enrichment, teacher grants, and events for our elementary school community. Last year, the PTO funded 18 in-school programs, 11 field trips, and six teacher grants.
